Amnesia

Amnesia

The selective overlooking or ignoring of those events or acts that are not favorable or useful to one’s purpose or position.

We need help to remember things, sticky notes, calendars and memos.

Can you forget that today is the Lord’s Day? Can you forget that on the Lord’s Day you go to church?

Why do you; through the week make plans for things to do instead of going to church?

Think about it seriously, are these things more improtant than God?

Can these things help you achieve eternal life?

Is the enterainment, the money, etc that you have arranged for; more important than your soul?

YES; we can worship God anytime and anywhere but in church you learn ( hear ) His word and understand what He wants and how to do it.

A forgetful memory is no excuse to God, He has provided many things and ways for us to remember and especially His word.

Excuses are a dime a dozen even in this inflationary times, God gave us His all; what are we willing to give Him?

Heb. 10:24-25

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Brothers and sisters I pray you don’t have amnesia just think if God said you have amnesia about Me then I can have amnesia about you.

I am totally with you here. We experience a phenomena in our church where most people who attend only do so 2.75 times per month.
I wrote an article http://therevivalgeneration.wordpress.com/2013/01/08/rediscovering-the-church/. Plus a I have a whole category called “no more boring church” that you might find interesting.
